Welcome

Hello everyone, this is the grader, Steve. I want to welcome all of you to the course, and give you a few general tips. First of all, READ THE ASSIGNMENT GRADING RUBRICS. At the bottom of each assignment there is a rubric that details how I will be grading you. If you hit all of the points on each rubric, I can guarantee that you'll do well in the course. If you are confused about anything on the rubric or feel like you don't know how to fulfill some of the requirements, I still encourage you to at least make the attempt and explain your reasoning and difficulties. I can only give you partial credit if you show me that you've made an effort. Other than paying attention to the rubric, I can only encourage you to go to class and work hard. This class presents a lot of material and requires a significant amount of effort, but I'm confident that by the end of the sequence you will have all found it rewarding. Don't be afraid to ask questions - this class is important for AE 391, and the sequence is the best preparation you're gong to get for senior design. With all that said, this class is fun, and you're going to get the freedom to do some interesting stuff during the sequence. Hope you all enjoy the course.

Best of luck,
Steve
